Internet Explorer Out Of Memory
It's basically a tool for visualising and filtering hundreds of megabytes of geospatial data coming script7: out of memory from a local ArcGIS server. It turns out to be a pretty challenging task for a browser, especially for IE. The application loads data from the local ArcGIS server, running on a different machine than the SharePoint. Fortunately, ArcGIS is kind enough to support cross domain JSONP requests, so I decided to use this technique to communicate with the server. Although it seemed to work fine at the beginning, it stopped working immediately after seeding the database with some real-life data set. It still worked in Chrome and Firefox obviously, but a strange looking SCRIPT14: error -2147024882 appeared during the loading process in IE. Error -2147024882. There is not enough memory available to perform the operation. MAPI_E_NOT_ENOUGH_MEMORY The JSONP response weighted roughly around 1 MB, so it looked like I exceeded a JavaScript size limit in IE. But after googling a while I found out that it's not about a size of the script at all, but IE actually limits a number of number literals in your JavaScript. For instance a script: var count = 2, people = [{ name: "Joe", age: 44, updatedAt: 1382351154540 }, { name: here for a quick overview of the site Help Center Detailed answers to any questions you might have Meta Discuss the workings and policies of this site About Us Learn more about Stack Overflow the company Business Learn more about hiring developers or posting ads with us Stack Overflow Questions Jobs Documentation Tags Users Badges Ask Question x Dismiss Join the Stack Overflow Community Stack Overflow is a community of 4.7 million programmers, just like you, helping each other. The same error with this minimal code: submitHandler: function(form) { $(form).submit(); } The only way to avoid this error is to erase the submit handler, leaving only messages and rules. jQuery version is 1.7.1 and jQuery validation http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12166635/ie8-out-of-memory-using-jquery-validate-submithandler-callback plugin is 1.9.0 I already have tested using different versions of jQuery: 1.5.2 and 1.6.1 The ones the author says to have tested: http://bassistance.de/jquery-plugins/jquery-plugin-validation/ I also tried an older version of the validation plugin but the Out of Memory error persists. Versions affected are 32 and 64 bits. I don't know about older versions because I only give support to version 8 and higher. jquery internet-explorer-8 jquery-validate share|improve this question asked Aug 28 '12 at 19:57 Bambam 253 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote accepted You need to use the default form submit. Like so submitHandler: function(form) { form.submit(); } Using $(form).submit(); re-triggers the validation function. The above code is used in the documentation link you provided. share|improve this answer answered Aug 28 '12 at 20:48 Rob 1,234712 Your answer is correct. Here is the URL: http://bit.ly/g2AgIB Getting "Out of Memory" error in IE8. Need to resolve ASAP!!! Answered by brx250 on March 22, 2011 at 09:46 PM Hi there, I've tried to replicate the problem using IE8, but instead of "Out of Memory" I get a "Stack Overflow" Message. Probing further, I've also looked into your webpage's source code.It seems to lack the appropriate embed/script tags that should enclose your jotform code. Try to look into this and check if you still get the same error. _____________________________________________________________________ Albert | JotForm Support JotForm Founder Answered by aytekin on March 23, 2011 at 11:05 AM Try using the IFrame code instead.
