Apple have a page in reference to this error and how to fix out of memory error indesign it http://support.apple.com/kb/TA25701 October 28, 2015 at 5:46 am #79044 C SupportMember Hi. That article is very useful, though, we're running into this issue on El Capitan and I can not find where that setting is as it seems to have been removed from Get Info. Would you guys happen to know where this setting is now in El Capitan? How do I increase the Application Memory Size in El Capitan then per apps? October 28, 2015 at 6:05 am #79045 David BlatnerKeymaster Wow, I haven't seen that for a long time. There hasn't been a way to change application memory size for over 10 or 15 years, I think! Are you getting application out of memory errors? Check to make sure you have several gigabyte of free hard drive space, too. October 28, 2015 at 9:17 am #79053 C SupportMember Yes, that is what we are having on some files, and we have loads of RAM, storage and everything else in between available. However, rebooting the computer sorts the issue out. The designer was working on a massive InDesign file previously, which he had closed, but I'm suspecting that either the software or OS or both did not do a good job of flushing things out after the previous massive file which is why this happened (loads of our of memo

Mac osX Expert: RoeIncarnate replied9 years ago. Ok, so the first thing to do is check that you have some free hard drive space on your root disk. Do this by going to the Finder and out of memory from the "Go" menu select "Computer". Then select your root hard drive/partition and select the menu "File->Get Info". Next to the line "Available" make sure there is some free space. If not, then you computer probably used it up with swap space (the OS will write some RAM memory to the hard drive when the RAM gets full). However sometimes the swap space takes up too much space. To fix this, delete some files or move them off the hard disk, then reboot (you need to make sure there is at least some free space before you reboot or else you can lose some preferences). If you have lots of free hard drive space, then you probably need to buy more memory for your computer. From the Apple menu select "About this Mac". How much memory does it say you have. If this is the answer to your question, please kindly select * ACCEPT * so I can be rewarded for my efforts. Ask Your Own Computer Question Customer: replied9 years ago. Comments Glenn Fleishman | @GlennF Senior Contributor, Macworld Feb 17, 2016 4:00 AM A few years ago Adobe largely switched to a subscription model for its creative suite, now called Creative Cloud. While you can still buy individual components for some products, its recurring monthly and annual deals give access to what were formerly several thousand dollars’ worth of software purchase separately (even if you don’t use all of it), as well as frequent updates that add new features alongside bug fixes. This can cause problems for users of older Adobe products, because while the company retains a commitment to keep current stand-alone versions up to date as operating systems advance, it’s a bit different from the olden days when Adobe and other companies sometimes released compatibility fixes a couple versions out of date for big installed-base applications. (Intuit has continued to release OS X updates for Quicken 2007 for Mac, which I still use, as its newer Quicken still lacks full feature parity.) Andy Wangstad writes in with a problem related to this: I upgraded recently to El Capitan. I have a MacBook Pro with a 500GB SSD. I have 215GB available. But every so often, InDesign comes up with a message that my memory is low and I have to close InDesign, remove files and restart. I just restart and it works…for a while. Arghh! With some resear
