The same error with this minimal code: submitHandler: function(form) { $(form).submit(); } The only way to avoid this error is to erase the submit handler, leaving only messages and rules. jQuery version is 1.7.1 and jQuery validation plugin is 1.9.0 I already have tested using different versions of jQuery: 1.5.2 and 1.6.1 The ones the author says to have tested: http://bassistance.de/jquery-plugins/jquery-plugin-validation/ I also tried an older version of the validation plugin but the Out of Memory error persists. Versions affected are 32 and 64 bits. I don't know about older versions because I only give support to version 8 and higher. jquery internet-explorer-8 jquery-validate share|improve this question asked Aug 28 '12 at 19:57 Bambam 253 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote accepted You need to use the default form submit. as smoothly as possible on Internet Explorer, because majority of clients connecting to the https://cowbell-labs.com/2013-10-21-internet-explorer-out-of-memory-error.html SharePoint service uses Windows and Internet Explorer. It's basically a tool for visualising and filtering hundreds of megabytes of geospatial data coming from a local https://askleo.com/iexploreexe_has_generated_an_error_now_what/ ArcGIS server. It turns out to be a pretty challenging task for a browser, especially for IE. The application loads data from the local ArcGIS out of server, running on a different machine than the SharePoint. Fortunately, ArcGIS is kind enough to support cross domain JSONP requests, so I decided to use this technique to communicate with the server. Although it seemed to work fine at the beginning, it stopped working immediately after seeding the database with out of memory some real-life data set. It still worked in Chrome and Firefox obviously, but a strange looking SCRIPT14: error -2147024882 appeared during the loading process in IE. Error -2147024882. There is not enough memory available to perform the operation. MAPI_E_NOT_ENOUGH_MEMORY The JSONP response weighted roughly around 1 MB, so it looked like I exceeded a JavaScript size limit in IE. But after googling a while I found out that it's not about a size of the script at all, but IE actually limits a number of number literals in your JavaScript. For instance a script: var count = 2, people = [{ name: "Joe", age: 44, updatedAt: 1382351154540 }, { name: "Alice", age: 37, updatedAt: 1382351205213 Date Social Facebook Twitter Google+ Pinterest YouTube About Making Technology Work For Everyone Loading Internet Explorer crashes, how do I fix it? IExplore.exe, aka Internet Explorer or 'IE', can crash, but it's not always its fault. We'll look at some of the things that can cause IExplore.exe to crash, and steps you can take. //I keep getting the message "IExplorer.exe has generated an error" when I browse the web, and Internet Explorer crashes and shuts down. Why does this happen, and what do I do to fix it? IExplore.exe which is Internet Explorer, or more commonly "IE", is perhaps one of the most used pieces of software ever written next to the Windows operating system itself. Unfortunately, being such a widely used program, when it crashes a lot of people notice. And since not all crashes that look like IE are actually caused by IE, things get very confusing, and perhaps very frustrating. Let's look at some of the clues to help identify the problem as well as some steps that may help resolve the issues we find. It's probably not IE's fault Let me start by explaining what I mean when I said that not all crashes that look like IE are actually caused by IE. The most common reason that this happens is the presence- and malfunctioning- of browser add-ons. Like other browsers, IE has what's called an extensibility model, meaning that it is possible to write software that, when installed, becomes a virtual part of IE. A good example that I use myself might be LastPass. It adds an additional toolbar to IE's standard set and integrates tightly with IE to provide its password capture and filling features. If an add-on causes a crash, it will be reported as having happened in Internet Explorer. It's also possible that your copy of IE is operating with add-ons you're not aware of. Many fall into the category of malware - software that you didn't even know you had - perhaps something that was installed as a side effect of installing another program. Of course it is possible that IE has itself caused the problem that's being reported as being within IE. It could be a bug or it could be some other problem, but add-ons are the most common culprit.
