memory error, repeatedly. #1 Jan 10, 2012 Pentagram Pentagram View User Profile View Posts Send Message Carpenter Join minecraft java 64 bit Date: 7/18/2011 Posts: 57 Minecraft: Pagan_Pentagram Xbox: Pentagram92 Member Details Hey all. I have a Windows 7 laptop (64 bit) 64 bit java (also 32 bit, but I have
64 Bit Java
tried uninstalling 32 bit and it still crashes) (i need 32 bit for another game, doesn't support 64 bit :/) Intel HD graphics (onboard) 4GB of RAM. Intel Pentium CPU B940 (dual core 2GHz) I use Minecraft Profile Manager to have multiple profiles for different mods. This means I can't use the batch file to run it with more how to allocate more ram to minecraft memory, unless anyone knows of a work around for this. After playing Minecraft for approximately 5 minutes, I always seem to get the Java Virtual Machine has ran out of memory error message. Does anybody know a way to fix this? Please and thank you :smile.gif: Rollback Post to Revision RollBack Ovo's Rustic Redemption: My all-time favourite Texture Pack! <3 #2 Jan 10, 2012 1Megaprime96 1Megaprime96 View User Profile View Posts Send Message IRC HACKER Join Date: 11/7/2010 Posts: 1,397 Member Details As long as you have that Intel HD graphics card, it won't work :wink.gif: Intel graphic cards only support old OpenGl and minecraft runs on Opengl.. (later versions) i think it only supports OpenGl 3.0 and we're already at 4.X.. i've seen many people who lagg, crash, out of memory and they all had an intel hd graphics card Rollback Post to Revision RollBack #3 Jan 10, 2012 Pentagram Pentagram View User Profile View Posts Send Message Carpenter Join Date: 7/18/2011 Posts: 57 Minecraft: Pagan_Pentagram Xbox: Pentagram92 Member Details Quote from 1Megaprime96 As lo
it. The easiest way to fix this problem is to edit your profile in the launcher (this only works if you have the new minecraft launcher) Step 1 -
Java 64 Bit Windows 10
Start the minecraft launcher by double clicking minecraft.exe "Using Feed the Beast? click here"
Latest Java
Step 2 - Click Edit Profile in the bottom left technic launcher Step 3 - Press save profile and enjoy the game If you do not have the latest launcher of the above for some other http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/archive/legacy-support/1825355-out-of-memory-error-repeatedly reason does not work follow the steps in my old article and replace the text in the batch file with: java -Xmx2048M -Xms2048M -jar "C:\Users\Admin\Downloads\minecraft.exe" pause Make sure to use capital letters as described above or you will get an error message Replace C:\users\admin\downloads for the directory where you're minecraft.exe is located The above line uses 2 GB of memory you can change the values to 1024 for 1 GB or to 4096 for http://www.damnthoseproblems.com/?p=760 4 etc Still having problems? My computer shows 16 Gb RAM installed, but I'm not sure what the graphics memory is. . . likely capped at 1 Gb? ( BEANTWOORDEN ) BillieFebruary 22nd, 2014 So the drop down menu is greyed out? Thats strange! Try downloading and installing the 64 bit version of ja
of your computer. Your computer will not function without it. It is installed on the computer's motherboard, storing data immediately needed for the computer to function. Minecraft requires at least 384MB of RAM to http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/out-of-memory/ function, however Minecraft will usually take up more than 1GB of memory to save information for blocks, players, mobs and many other things. When Minecraft cannot allocate (get) more RAM from the computer due to not enough RAM installed or too many other processes using up RAM (such as other games, web browsers and applications), it crashes with the Out of Memory error. Firstly, you should close every other applications to see if the out of problem goes away (some web browsers such as Chrome can take up lots of memory if you open a lot of tabs). If not, follow the instructions below. How much RAM do I have? In order to troubleshoot this error, we must first find out how much "RAM" you actually have, as you can't give the game more than you have! Depending on your operating system, these instructions will vary. If you are on Windows out of memory - Press your Windows + R keys, to bring up a run dialogue, in it, type in: "cmd", and hit enter. This will bring up a command prompt window. In the Command Prompt window, type in: systeminfo | find "Total Physical Memory". Once you have done so, give it a minute to gather the info, and you should be presented with a number in MB, keep that handy. If you are on Mac OSX - Apple has made a nice tutorial which explains how to collect statistics on the amount of memory you have, which can be found here. If you are on Linux - Open a terminal window, and type in: free Once you have found this, you can continue. Do I have the proper Java installation? Minecraft runs on a platform called Java. Java is by nature multi-platform and releases different versions for each platform and for each type of processor architecture, which may make it confusing exactly which version of it you should have installed, which is what this should hopefully explain. First, we want to find out our OS's processor architecture. If you are on Windows - Press your Windows + R keys, to bring up a run dialogue, in it, type in: "cmd", and hit enter. This will bring up a command prompt window. In the window, type in: echo %processor_architecture% then
