Frequency Out Of Range Monitor
2011 10:10:48 Now, here's the backstory. I just changed out the PSU on this computer. It should have plenty of power to run

everything, and everything was working just fine before I changed the PSU. No other hardware changes at all. So, now, I go put the computer back in, plug it in, and it starts to boot up, everything looks http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2320363/fix-frequency-problems.html good. The 7 startup screen comes up, and then bam "out of frequency range." Now, mind you, I have two monitors. A 22 inch LCD, and a 15 inch LCD. The 22 inch refuses to work AT all, and the 15 turns on, displays the boot screen, then the windows startup screen, then a floating out of range message. So, I tried rebooting in safe mode, same thing. I uninstalled my video card, and plugged the VGA http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/27186-63-when-boot-computer-frequency-range LCD monitor right into the onboard, same damn thing. Any ideas? Check that and read some here if it apply to u too. The message is from the monitor itself, not from the computer. It is advising you that the monitor refresh rate or scan rate exceeds that which the monitor can handle. An interesting issue, since it happens while in the game, but it strongly suggests that either the CPU or the Video card is overheating and causing a reset which is defaulting to the non accepted video output. As games are both CPU and Video intensive it could be either that is causing the problem. http://forums.techguy.org/games/431913-solved-frequency... m 0 l HugoStiglitz 5 October 2011 11:34:06 As Nikorr said It is either your refresh rate or resolution is set to high for your monitor. you can press F8 at bios and select "Enable VGA Mode" from the list this will limit your resolution and refresh rate to very low settings. the good thing about VGA mode rather than safe mode is all other windows services are running so install / removing programs & drivers is easy. m 0 l Can't find your answer

Windows 7: Monitor cries: "OUT OF FREQUENCY RANGE" at login Page 1 of 2 1 2 > 18 May 2010 #1 Signum Windows 7 32bit 7 posts Monitor cries: "OUT OF FREQUENCY RANGE" at login Good day all, I just had the oppurtunity to move on to Windows 7, after installing everything was good(As far as I out of can see). Now, my system has a GeForce 210 Graphics Card, so naturally I would want to install the NVIDIA drivers. Here is when sith happens: After the mandatory restart, Win7 loads(good so far), then my Monitor (a Likom 556S... something 15" CRT monitor) would whine at me about "Frequency out of range". I could hear the startup sound, but see nothing except the "Frequency out of range" message. The manual for my Monitor says that the maximum resolution out of frequency for the Monitor is 1024 x 768 @ 70 Hz. I tried changing to different modes(Via Safe Mode) to no avail, I even plugged my PC to a different monitor(It worked fine) and set the resolution to a very low 640x480 @ 60 Hz, but when I plugged it back it still is "Out of Range". Anyone can assist me with troubleshooting this?
