Can click on it and it does continue but has been more prevalent lately. Used to be maybe once a day but is now more prevalent and is really getting amnnoying. I have a new-ish computer with 2 GB of memory, 1.87 of which is useable. I do have the following settings set: Internet Options, Advanced tab, Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other) check boxes, and then click to clear the Display a notification about every script error check box. May have gotten worse when I downloaded iTunes software to watch some podcasts Maybe someone more knowledgable than myself can annalyze the hijack this information: Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.4 Scan saved at 5:35:32 PM, on 12/5/2011 Platform: Windows 7 SP1 (WinNT 6.00.3505) MSIE: Internet Explorer v8.00 (8.00.7601.17514) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP Software Update\hpwuschd2.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jusched.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil11e_ActiveX.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\IELowutil.exe C:\Program Files (x86

Most of the web self help stuff relates to IE8 and I recently allowed my PC to download a whole bunch of updates out of without checking first. A lot related to IE8 which I don't have -I uninstalled on the day I bought the PC, so may be a problem there? I'm a PC numpty, so easy to follow steps to remedy the problem would be much appreciated, thanks. Making this file that small as suggested in that thread is not recommended and that solution was meant for XP that has poor memory management. You should leave the size of the page file at the value that Windows suggest as suitable (optimal). If Windows runs out of (virtual) memory then the OS will crash and with a low value this will happen sooner or later. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2160852 RAM, virtual memory, pagefile, and memory management in Windows http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_memory Read this answer in context 2 Question tools Get email updates when anybody replies. when a solution is found.
