Evernote Windows Windows Desktop Help Out of memory error in sync log Sign in to follow this Followers 2 Out of memory error in sync log Started by mruseless, November 29, 2015 evernote windows 8 posts in this topic mruseless 10 https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/90632-out-of-memory-error-in-sync-log/ Member + 10 42 posts Posted November 29, 2015 I recently started having problems with Evernote when I upgraded to Win 10. When I sync, it takes a long long time but finally gives me a red exclamation point on https://www.scirra.com/forum/out-of-memory-error-windows-phone-8-1_t103364 the sync button. I've done a complete uninstall/reinstall, and I also did a full clean install of Windows 10. I checked the sync log, and here are the last few lines: 11:15:30 [4068] 100% * guid={db97a401-34ba-4fcf-a374-5c3b9be2d9bc}11:15:30 [4068] 100% Submitting a batch out of of 3 note calls, size=11.3 KB11:15:33 [6148] 100% Submitting a batch of 2 note calls, size=167 MB11:16:54 [6148] 100% Out of memory.11:16:54 [6884] 100% Connecting account mruseless11:16:54 [4920] Client synchronization finished, status: failed11:16:54 [4920] * 407 items received11:16:54 [4920] * elapsed time: 1m 34s I'm running an older machine, with only 4 GB of RAM, but I've only started receiving this error recently. I'm assuming this is referring to RAM memory? It can't be HDD space, I've got hundreds of out of memory gigs open there. Any help is appreciated. Thanks,Eric Share this post Link to post gazumped 4,776 Guru 4,776 17,624 posts Posted November 29, 2015 Hi. Have you had a look at the standard sync fixes? https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313378 Share this post Link to post mruseless 10 Member + 10 42 posts Posted November 29, 2015 Hi. Have you had a look at the standard sync fixes? https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313378Oh yes, tried all of them several times. I've even done a full clean install of Win10.Do you know if the error is referring to RAM, cache, or disk drive space? wouldn't make sense for it to be my HDD, plenty of space left there. Share this post Link to post gazumped 4,776 Guru 4,776 17,624 posts Posted November 30, 2015 Hmmn. I'd guess it's RAM space, but don't know - I'd suggest raising a support ticket - click Troubleshooting in the Help Center (link below in my sig) and scroll to the bottom of the page to see the 'Contact Support' button. Share this post Link to post mruseless 10 Member + 10 42 posts Posted November 30, 2015 OK, thanks. I've opened a support ticket. I've also ordered another 4GB of RAM (RAM is cheap these days!), should be here in a few days and hopefully that will fix the issue. I'll let you know!Eric 1 person likes this Share this post Link to post gazump
