Out Of Office Error Validating User Agent Execution Access
Web browser web server; http; web agent; agents; webqueryopen; acl; access; "Error 500 HTTP Web Server: Lotus Notes Exception - Error validating userĀ“s agent execution access"; 1094595; 156046 Technote (FAQ) Question When you execute a Web agent or open a document that contains a WebQueryOpen agent, the Lotus Domino Web server returns the following error: "Error 500 HTTP Web Server: Lotus Notes Exception - Error validating user´s agent execution access" Answer This error occurs when the agent owner (name that the agent has been signed with) does not have adequate access to run agents on the Domino server. To correct the error, check the following items: Make sure that the agent signer (agent owner) is listed in the "Run restricted LotusScript/Java agents" field on the Security tab of the Server document. Make sure the agent signer is not listed in the "Not access server" field, which denies access to the server. This field is also on the Security tab of the Server document. You can use the Domino Designer or Domino Administrator client to sign the database design elements, including agents, with a name that has proper access. In the Domino Designer, you select the agent and click Sign. For specific steps with the Domino Administrator client, refer to the topic "Signing a database or template" in the Domino Administrator Help. To determine who owns or last signed the agent, follow these steps: 1. In Domino Designer, open the agent. 2. Select the Key tab, and check to see if the "Run on behalf of" property is populated If the property is populated, then the agent runs on this entry's authority. If the property is not populated, then the agent runs on the authority of the signer of the agent. 3. Close the agent, and highlight it in the Agent view. 4. Select Agent > Design Properties. 5. The name specified after "Modified by" is the signer of the agent. Note: The "Run on behalf of" property was introduced in Notes/Domino 6.0. For prior releases, rely on the "Modified by" entry. If these steps do not resolve the problem, you can enable agent debug to collect more information by (1) entering the command "tell amgr debug" on the server console, or (2) entering the parameter DEBUG_AMGR=* in the notes.ini for the server. The debug output shows the name of the agent being run, in which database it resides, and the agent signer name. Note: Be cautious in using
activity CacheExecutor; Enterprise Connector Products; Companion Products; Programmability Restrictions; run activity; error; console; Server Record Technote (troubleshooting) Problem After installing Lotus Enterprise Integrator (LEI), you run an activity on the site but receive the following error message on the Lotus Domino console: "xx/xx/xxxx 10:54:33 Error validating execution rights for agent 'CacheExecutor' in http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21208934 database 'decsadm.nsf'. Agent signer 'Enterprise Connector Products/Lotus Notes Companion Products', effective user 'Enterprise Connector Products/Lotus Notes Companion Products'. Examine 'Programmability Restrictions' field in the Server Record." Cause This error indicates that the site did not have the "Enterprise Connector Products/Lotus Notes Companion Products" placed in the following https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21330648 locations in the Server Document: Programmability Restrictions Section: Run Unrestricted Methods and Operations and Run Unrestricted Lotus Script/Java Agents Server Access Section: Access Server These values must also be in the user security preference, "When code is signed by", for the ID file (usually the server ID) found in the "KeyFileName=" parameter in the notes.ini file. Resolving the problem The workaround was to make the changes above that caused the errors. Then the connections and the activity were successful.
