the outlook and click on the notification area appearing in the bottom right corner of your screen. 2). Now click on the Outlook icon, holding CTRL button. 3). Now select Test Email AutoConfigration Fill the Email Address and password In the next window that will appear after click on the Test E-mail AUtoconfigration. Uncheck the option Use Guessmart. Now unable to set out of office in outlook 2013 server unavailable click on the Test Now check out the results. If you got unsuccessful results means AutoDiscovers is not configured for your email If you are getting the successful output, than the missing URL for the Out of Office (OOF) service is causing the problem In case of successful AutoDiscover, verify your Out of Office (OOF) URL After a successful AutoDiscover check for OOF URL whether it is correct or not. For that look in the result tab of Test Email AutoConfigration for OOF URL. Look for the protocol group as shown below: 1). Disable the protocol Exchange RPC and enable Exchange HTTP when you are using Outlook internally. 2). When you are using Outlook Externally then use protocol Exchange HTTP After that now log on to OWA via Internet Explorer. Now in the address bar type OOF URL. You will get an XML information or service page if OOF services are available for the URL that you have given You will get an error 403 if services are not available for your URL.

When they attempt to set their Out of Office settings in Outlook 2010 and/or 2013 the receive the message that their out of office settings cannot be displayed, because the server is currently unavailable. I have done a repair of their profile in Mail settings and it has worked to fix the issue temporarily for a few but then some others not at all. They can still set the Out of Office reply from OWA with no problem. They are also still able to send and receive email from their Outlook with no issues at all. I have begun researching into this but thus far have not turned anything up that is a fix to the issue. Has anyone seen this before or knows how to fix it or can even point me in the right direction? If there is any further information needed please let me know. It appears to point to Autodiscover. You can hold down CTRL and right click the Outlook icon and run the Test email auto-configuration to see if any errors come up. Not sure if you've tried this already. 0 Thai Pepper OP VericomITguy Apr 14, 2014 at 8:23 UTC BunnyOnABender wrote: By any chance these users have issues seeing other peoples free/busy information along with the issue with OOF?
