Reduced the resolution then work your way up till you find the highest the TV can handle."I'm assuming you have a Toshiba LCD, Plasma, or LED LCD TV that is new enough that it has an input port meant for using the TV as a computer monitor.You must select the input source the computer video output is connected to on the TV by using either the remote for it or a button on the front of the TV. E.g. PC, or HDMI, or VGA, or DVI. READ the manual for the TV. It will usually tell you what resolutions you can use when the TV is used as a computer monitor. If it doesn't say that specfically, in any case the resolution you use for the display on the TV in Windows settings should have the same aspect ratio as the physical screen on the TV - e.g. 16 X 9 , or 1.777 (to 1) when you divide the first number in the resolution - the width - by the second number in the resolution - the height. RIGHT click on a blank part of the Windows 7 main desktop screen, choose Personalize, then Display Settings.There are two display icons there - one is for the display on your built in laptop display, the other one is for the display on the TV.
