server works, but error is when I connect to default database instalation (version 5.0.77) on CentOS/Red Hat Error appears also when I run compiled program, which use Entitly Framework and connect to MySQL Server 5.0.77 on linux. How to repeat: Try to map MySQL Database 5.0.77 (running on Linux) with Entitly Framework on Visual Studio 2010 Professional. [11 Jul 2011 17:43] Daniel Dekowski Oh my mysql workbench commands out of sync god... I have been scouring the internet to find solution to this as I was having the exact same problem. Rolled back from version 6.4.3 to 6.3.7 and it magically works now... [13 Jul 2011 11:30] Bertrand PIEDECOCQ I have the same problem with MySQL - 5.0.58 server. Return to version 6.3.7 of the connector and it's works ! [16 Jul 2011 20:25] Jorge Bastos Howdy Staff/Reggie, I was testing 6.4.3 and got stuck with the same problem. After some tests, it seems to happen ONLY on servers < 5.5 and when FunctionsReturnString=true; exists on the connection string. Is this problem known/fixed yet on the master branch? Thanks, Jorge, [16 Jul 2011 20:44] Jorge Bastos After a few more tests if seems to happen with or without FunctionsReturnString=true; It's only on servers < 5.5 [21 Jul 2011 7:42] Jonathan Wong Same thing here with Visual Studio 2005. 6.4.3.0 gives "out of sync with server" error, 6.3.7.0 is fine! [22 Jul 2011 13:44] Kyle Stevens I'm having the same problem. Unfortunately, I cannot revert to 6.3.6 or 6.3.7 because of separate bugs so I'm sort of stuck. [27 Jul 2011 18:08] A Ford Si

We are currently trying to call a remote procedure in a MySQL database, but we're getting a 2014 Error and we http://stackoverflow.com/questions/29220713/c-mysql-connector-error-2014-commands-out-of-sync-when-using-call can't figure out why. We should note that the call is successful and we get the results we expect to get, the problem is in the call to mysql_stmt_close(stmt). We are freeing every MYSQL structure that was generated by the calls to the connector, using mysql_free_result, but the error persists. The error is coming from the mysql_stmt_close(stmt) call, we're getting a 2014 error, as stated in the title. We are freeing every MYSQL structure possible, as far as we can see. The code is mostly taken from examples over the Internet: int basedatos_crearUsuario(char * pNombre, MYSQL * pConeccion){ char * query = "CALL crearUsuario (?)"; MYSQL_STMT *stmt; MYSQL_BIND ps_params[1]; /* input parameter buffers */ MYSQL_BIND bind_results[1]; stmt = mysql_stmt_init(pConeccion); if (!stmt) { printf("Could not initialize statement\n"); return -1; } if (mysql_stmt_prepare(stmt, query, strlen(query))){ fprintf(stderr, "Error: %s (errno: %d)\n",mysql_error(pConeccion), mysql_errno(pConeccion)); return -1; } long largo = (long) strlen(pNombre); memset(ps_params, 0, sizeof (ps_params)); ps_params[0].buffer_type = MYSQL_TYPE_STRING; ps_params[0].buffer = pNombre; ps_params[0].buffer_length = largo; ps_params[0].length = &largo; ps_params[0].is_null = 0; if(mysql_stmt_bind_param(stmt, ps_params)){ fprintf(stderr, "Error:

E.g. service mysql restart netstat -tnp tcp 35 0 127.0.0.1:51890 127.0.0.1:3306 CLOSE_WAIT 7662/db out of sync This means that the next time the Go program tries to run a query, the dead connection is used and we get the error: MySQL error: commands out of sync. You can't run this command now The dead connection is then removed by the SQL drive and reconnects to the server. Further queries run OK. Example code package main import _ "github.com/go-sql-driver/mysql" import "database/sql" import "fmt" import "time" func main() { db, err := sql.Open("mysql", "root:@tcp(127.0.0.1:3306)/mysql") if err != nil { fmt.Println("Open error: ", err) return } err = db.Ping() if err != nil { fmt.Println("Ping error: ", err) return } fmt.Println("Ping OK") var connId int for { if err := db.QueryRow("SELECT CONNECTION_ID()").Scan(&connId); err != nil { fmt.Println("MySQL error: ", err) time.Sleep(10 * time.Second) continue } fmt.Println("Conn ID: ", connId) time.Sleep(10 * time.Second) } } Error log [root@tpel6 ~]# go run db.go Ping OK Conn ID: 1519 Conn ID: 1519 Conn ID: 1519 Conn ID: 1519 Conn ID: 1519 Conn ID: 1519 Conn ID: 1519 Conn ID: 1519 MySQL error: com
