After 5 minutes, if I'm lucky to play for that long, it will crash with an error popup exactly like this (not my screenshot, thanks Bl0k.ca for the image): http://s8.postimage.org/ire08mu9h/hnhnhn.png I am using the latest 285.62 WHQL drivers hoping that would fix it but there was no change. I have tried everything, turning settings down/off such as AA and AF, nothing works or even seems to influence it. The game I have been anticipating for months has crashed and burned. I am not pleased. Any ideas on something I can at least try? I am out of options I could personally think of, which included messing with the texture streaming and such within the ini. Go into the settings and turn off: PhysX DX11 Settings DX11 Tessellations Also, set the game to run in windowed mode. I've been playing for the past 20 minutes with no issues other than the odd FPS drop (which might be due to my own build not being 100% up to snuff with the recommended settings). "Ran Out of Video Memory" Error 2K Global Ops September 11, 2015 05:36 We have received a few reports of players receiving an error which states "Ran Out of Video Memory" after which the application closes. This issue most commonly occurs when PhysX settings are higher than the Nvidia graphics card is able to keep up with. PhysX effects are extremely resource intensive, and can cause a slow-down in performance or an application closure on even high end hardware. In most cases, players with hardware that matches the in-game settings should be able to play uninterrupted for several hours, but may experience issues in 1-1 http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2247440 ½ hours in co-op. Should you run into VRAM issues more often than you are comfortable with, we recommend trying the following: Lower your resolution will help prolong gameplay. Lowering your Physx to either Low or Medium on the in-game graphics options screen will help prolong gameplay. Updating to the latest Nvidia drivers – Beta Driver 306.02 (These drivers have improved Physx performance) In the Nvidia Control Panal http://support.2k.com/hc/en-us/articles/201336073--Ran-Out-of-Video-Memory-Error set your Physx to the GPU. Other additional options that can be adjusted to help prolonging gameplay are: Lower Bullet Decals settings Lower Foliage settings PhysX is a technology developed by Nvidia, and only specific Nvidia cards are designed to render these particular effects. A list of PhysX supported cards can be found at the following: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/physx/supported-gpus NOTE: Not all of these cards will necessarily run the game on high settings. Many ATI cards are also capable of rendering PhysX effects, but they are not specifically designed to do so, and much of the work is delegated to the systems processor when running PhysX on an ATI set-up. A performance hit is likely to occur when running High PhysX settings on ATI setups. Was this article helpful? 0 out of 1 found this helpful Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google+ Have more questions? I could run the game ok on low/med settings, but not great, it out of video was mainly bottlenecking on the CPU. I was looking into upgrading the CPUs, since Squad is only using a single core, but this is a new one on me. I'll get it even at the lowest resolution and settings. A quick comparison of the CPU, since I'm sure it's not familiar.http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Xeon-E5645-vs-Intel-Core-i7-3770K Same with GPUhttp://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.php?gid=591&gid2=192&compare=geforce-gtx-660-vs-quadro-fx-5800 My rig is not a gaming rig, which is the problem, it's set up for CAD work, but up until now, I've been able to play the few games I play, without an issue. It even runs ARMA3 just fine. :P
 SuicidalChair Certified Nerd Support 1,981 posts Location: Canada Posted December 17, 2015 thats very interesting, beefy server hardware with professional grade video card,I'm not familiar with all of the Quadro series but I do know they come with professional support.Have you looked into asking them yet? (i mean you payed extra for the support on the video card so why not? lol)And have you run all windows updates + GPU driver updates available just in case?just want to rule out anything like that. Turn in time , there is no disgrace in turning. Hiddendangerous Posts: 4Player April 2015 Yeah, agree, about time i went 64 bit, my Windows 8 upgrade has the 64 bit disc, but i only had 32 bit windows 7. [CLS]_SgtMac Posts: 181Moderator April 2015 The same key should work for 64-bit or 32-bit windows 7. [CLS]_SgtMac Posts: 181Moderator April 2015 This site should allow you to download the 64-bit version: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery [FIRM]EagLeTaLoN Posts: 20Player April 2015 I have a 64 bit system and a 550ti and no problems here, but i agree with everyone else. I have heard of the crashing with 32 bit systems. -=NoBS=-Reyfox_I Posts: 62Beta Tester April 2015 The game puts a lot of demand on your computer requiring as much memory as it can get. With a 32bit system, how much system RAM do you have after just loading the operating system? As others said, 64bit is the way to go. Also, what other programs do you have running in the background taking up system memory?
