still send and receive emails. How do I correct this error so I can turn automatic replies outlook 2010 not working server unavailable the OOF on and off again via Outlook? This issue usually happens when Outlook Anywhere has been enabled but AutoDiscover hasn't been out of office outlook 2010 not working configured properly for your domain or hasn't been published at all. While you may not be able to solve it yourself, it is still possible to confirm that this is indeed the issue and use an https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/67b2009b-1fe5-485a-8f40-896777888e92/outlook-2013-out-of-office-cannot-be-display-because-the-server-is-currently-unavailable?forum=exchangesvradmin alternative way to manage your Out of Office settings while your Exchange administrator takes a look at correcting the issue. Other Outlook features like managing message rules may also be affected. In Outlook 2013, the error will refer to “automatic replies” instead of “Out of Office”. In that case, the old way https://www.msoutlook.info/question/879 to prove your case still works as well; Ask 2 or 3 colleagues to try it on their computer and check if they have the same issue. When they do, it is probably a server related issue which needs to be escalated to your Exchange administrator. Test E-mail AutoConfiguration The first step is to run the Test E-mail AutoConfiguration command to see if AutoDiscover has been configured for your Exchange environment. With Outlook running, expand the Notification Area in the bottom right corner so that the Outlook icon becomes visible. Hold the CTRL button and right click on the Outlook icon. Choose: Test E-mail AutoConfiguration… Fill out your email address and password. Disable the options for “Use Guessmart” and “Secure Guessmart Authentication” so that only “Use AutoDiscover” is enabled. Press the Test button. Check the results. If unsuccessful, then AutoDiscover probably hasn't been configured at all. This is an unsupported configuration and your Exchange administrator needs to correct this. He or she can find more information about how to do so in the “Exchange Administrator information” section below. If successful, then the URL for the OOF service might be missing or set to the wrong URL. A successful AutoDiscover detection result. by Andrew S Higginbotham 9 Issue In the past two weeks I've had two customer environments come to me with the same issue. Random Outlook 2013 https://exchangemaster.wordpress.com/2013/12/02/outlook-2013-security-update-breaks-out-of-office-for-exchange-2007-mailboxes/ clients are unable to configure their Out Of Office settings. Specifically, they would get an error message when trying to open their OOF settings to set them. Some https://www.petenetlive.com/KB/Article/0000897 users had no issue while others got the error. Both environments were Exchange 2007 on latest Service Pack/Update Rollup & had a few users running Outlook 2013; only out of a few of which were having this issue. Resolution After some searching online I found this thread pointing to a recent (November 12th 2013) Outlook Security Update as the culprit. In my case, after uninstalling KB2837618, rebooting the client, & re-creating the Outlook Profile (a profile repair did not work) then Out Of Office started working again. In out of office fact, after reading the full KB it appears this is a known issue: If you are using Outlook to connect to a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 mailbox: You receive an error message that resembles either of the following when you try to configure Automatic Replies (Out of Office): Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later. You cannot retrieve Free/Busy data for calendar scheduling. Add-ins that use the Account.SmtpAddress property no longer work. These features rely on an underlying Autodiscover technology. After you install this security update, Autodiscover may fail for Exchange 2007 configurations. Therefore, Outlook features that rely on Autodiscover will also stop working. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post more information in this article when it becomes available. It appears the reason only random Outlook 2013 clients were experiencing the issue was because not all of them were up to date via Microsoft Update. Of course most Exchange folks will never read all the release notes o
to Set Out of Office ‘Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later' Home » Exchange » Error When Trying to Set Out of Office ‘Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later' KB ID 0000897 Dtd 03/01/14 Problem When attempting to set my Out of Office automatic replies within Outlook, I was greeted with this. Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later. If I logged into Outlook Web Access, (Options > Set Automatic Replies) I could set it up and it worked fine. It's never really bothered me, but my colleagues were complaining about it, and when they used Outlook on our Terminal Server they also got this. MailTips could not be retrieved. Solution Before proceeding you need to make sure of TWO things. 1. You are logged in, or authenticated against your domain. 2. If you are accessing web pages via a proxy server, the name of the Exchange server should be added to the Proxy Exceptions list. (Note: If you have multiple entries, you separate them with a semi colon). Assuming you have met the two requirements above, then do the following. 1. Open Outlook > In the task bar (in the system tray) > Hold down CTRL and Right Click the Outlook Icon > Select Test E-mail AutoConfiguration. 2. Enter your details > Use AutoDiscover > Test. Note: Here I got the following error message; Autoconfiguration was unable to determine your settings This was because the client I was on, could not resolve autodiscover.my-domain-name.co.uk, once that was rectified I could get further. 3. In the first section Locate the URL that is being used for OOF, and make a note of it. 4. Open your web browser and make sure you can open that URL. (Note: It will redirect to Services.wsdl that is normal). Note: If you are asked for logon credentials, you are NOT authenticated against the domain. 5. Repeat the same with the URL that is listed in the HTTP section of the test. 6. At this point mine started working. My problem was the lack of DNS resolution, if you find another fix drop me a line and Ill update this article (link at the bottom of the page). Incorrect Permissions on the EWS Virtual Folder.
