I have the new black powerline adaptors with the correct lights showing and my internet connection is working fine.I was talked through 3 attempted factory resets - from what I have read there is a limit of 3.http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/10600/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xMzA0NjcwMDczL3NpZC85Vmx... Almost every evening the box turns itself off and https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Vision-box/Constant-BE01-Error/td-p/62136 i wake up to this BE01 error and it tells me to phone a telephone number which no longer connects.I have phoned the support line previously but was given the highly technical advice of "switch it on and off" which infuriates me. I would like a new and ultimately updated box from BT. Can someone on here tell me how i would go about getting one as i am sick of paying for a service which doesn't work nearly 50% of the time. Thanks Message 1 of 2 (1,237 Views) Reply minusdot Recognised Expert Posts: 1,521 Registered: 03-02-2010 0 Re: Constant BE01 Error Options Mark as New Bookmark Subscribe Subscribe to this message's RSS Feed Highlight this Message Print Email this Message to a Friend Report Inappropriate Content on 03-11-2010 14h49 Poolcue wrote:Hello there BT and it's customers.I am someone who usually sings the praises of BT Vision and feel that it is a really good service, however even i am getting a little annoyed at the performance of my Vision Box recently. I wonder if my btv box has https://www.funadvice.com/q/bt_vision_start_up_help_please simply died after only 5 days of use. Having done a re-scan last night (as the box told me to do) the epg on itv3 & ch4+1 were mixed up. This morning I decided to re-scan again, got 0 channels & bt vision the existing channels either disappeared or got re-numbered to something like 800+. So I decided to power off the btv & home hub, turned the hub back on followed by the btv box & got a BE01 error. Did a hard reboot & after the NR01 screen & the 2 cog screens (checking with the hub that it was actually downloading something) the dreaded BE01 error came up again. I've replaced the ethernet & telephone connections, disabled the hub firewall, checked the telephone connection be01 error bt etc & hard re-booted each time. Several attempts later I get the same error each time - has my btv box died already? Helpdesk have passed it onto the resolutions team but I have to wait 48-72 hours for a return call - almost as long as it took to have it installed from when i was offered it. Has anyone an idea of what this error means or do I have to put up with the kids whining about why they can't watch cbbc any more (I gave away my old freeview box at the weekend). caxon View Public Profile Find More Posts by caxon Please sign in or register to remove this advertisement. Type your question here ANSWER #1 of 1 Hi, I found this on a forum: The problem stems from a power glitch. The powerline adapter connected to the BT Home Hub did not re-start correctly and therefore the BT Vision box could not do its download to recover. Until I turned off the powerline adapter and on again the BT vision box just timed out and displayed the BE01 error.
