On Thursday I performed a reboot of the system. When it came back on, a C03 message appeared. I have tried to reboot it again to no avail (I have https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Vision-box/C03-error-after-more-than-2-years-using-BT-Vision-PLEASE-HELP/td-p/130741 also tried a factory reset). I have phoned BT, and have just been passed backwards and forwards, at one point being told that it was because I was a new customer! I was finally put through to somebody who said that they would log the fault and that it should be working within 48 hours. It still isn't. I really don't know what to do. The lady I spoke to said that my broadband speed was good and that wasn't the problem. I know I'll probably have to phone up BT again, but I really don't want to be passed about again and promised another fix within 48 hours, and then not receive it! I've looked on the net, and C03 seems to be an issue which occurs when people are just starting out with BT Vision, and I can't find any info about this error with existing users, and I've used it with no issues for more than 2 years. Has anybody got any ideas please?Thank you! Message 1 of 6 (366 Views) Reply guilbo Guru Posts: 3,793 Registered: 28-01-2010 0 Re: C03 error after more than 2 years using BT Vision - PLEASE HELP!! The early black ones can take the new software, but can't do everything that the new ones can. However, it requires BT to push the new software to the black box - there's no way to request it from the box.I suspect your problem is that your main box is on the new software, which requires different things of the BT servers. So when you plug in an old box, it is no longer connecting to a server it can talk to, hence a C03 error. Message 2 of 6 (786 Views) Reply robebird Contributor
