Bt Vision Error Code Vmc011
long winded but it takes a little explaining.I have BT Broadband and BT vision at two addresses and have had a silver vision box at both addresses virtually since the vision service began. I was contacted with the offer of a replacement YOUVIEW box if signing up for 18 month contract and agreed to this.Sometime ago I also bought a couple of the Black Vision boxes and after booting them up disconnected the connection to bt vision error code yvm302 the router and used them as stand alone freeview boxes. When the YOUview boxes arrived I used these as stand alone (no connection to router) and disconnected the old silver boxes and connected the black boxes all seemed to be working well until I returned from holiday. The boxes were showing a screen giving a number of options, sorry I know I should have made a note of the screen but can't remember, anyway they rebooted and went to a screen telling me they were updating with the usual if you see this screen for more than 5 min and error code NR01 then updating can take 20min and then error code BE01.If it helps at all one is a Pace DIT7431/05-2 s/n +060604 +1104367762 and the other is Pace DIT7431.06 sn 1027092075 Item code 050590Any help in resolving this would be appreciated even if its only the phone number and the right person to contact at BT as I have experienced being passed from one person to another around the world in the past. Patience is a virtue on this one.BE01, this is displayed when the bootloader gets into a detectable but unrecoverable error, this will follow a NR01 screen.Cure is reboot v box, with a DR Back to top IP Logged NeverWatchTV Newbie Offline Watch this space Posts: 4 Re: Error Codes Reply #2 - Mar 23rd, 2007 at 12:31am Thanks for that information.Someone I http://www.radioandtelly.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1174576135 know has a box which seems to get stuck.. First displayed NR01 then 'An error has occurred' subsequent DR's then ends up with BE01 and 'An error has...'I have not witnessed this myself, only told via 'phone. therefore unsure as to whether any other visual signs occur. This box has not been installed by BT at the location. It was obtained elsewhere for use as a stand alone Freeview box.Could it be seeking an update? If so does this arrive via TV transmission or via the (not present) BT Vision internet connection?Any sensible advice appreciated. Right, just got one of these from BT yesterday, and the damn bt vision thing wont work!! Any time I plug it in I get An error has occured, please wait while we try to reslolve this issue. If the problem persists please contact us on 0845 600 .... and there is a error code "NR01" at the bottom with a grey bar that takes about 10 minutes to move along and finish what its doing. Once the grey loading bar is complete the screen flickers and the screen re-appears again for a split second (this time without the grey bar bt vision error at the bottom), then the screen goes blank and just stays like that. The green power light on the Vision box flashes a few times, then stops and I cant get anything on screen at all! I have tried re-booting, a soft reset, and a hard reset using the following methods, but I get the EXACT same thing happening every time! SOFT REBOOT Turn power off then turn it on SOFT RESET Press green button on box for 6 seconds - box will reset and restart - can take 5 minutes. HARD RESET, MASTER RESET or DR (Disaster Recovery) Doing this will delete any recorded programmes 1. Remove the power cable from the rear 2. Press and hold the down arrow and the ok button on the front of the box. 3. Power up the box with the above buttons pressed in. 4. After 10 seconds release the down and OK buttons. The VBox will do a complete software download, which may take 30 minutes. The box will switch itself on and off a few times and at times it will appear nothing is happening (watch the hub, you will see the data lights flashing off and on), be patient, it is doing something. You will see a message saying there is a problem and to call a 0845 number, whilst it displays this it also has a NR01 error code displayed, a greyed bar also moves across the bottom of the screen at least twice. You will also get displayed a couple of cogs in

Sometimes it's a fault at their end, but I'm unfamiliar with this error code. minusdot View Public Profile Find More Posts by minusdot 04-05-2007, 14:56 #3 Rd100 Banned User Join Date: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,576 now it says be01 Rd100 View Public Profile Find More Posts by Rd100 04-05-2007, 14:56 #4 DeanDS Forum Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Oxford Posts: 1,559 Quote: Originally Posted by Rd100 A friend of mine has a bt vision receiver all it keeps saying is there is a fault the error code is NR01.
