All https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Vision-box/BT-Vision-Error-C03/td-p/86107 should have gone live yesterday, August 19, and the phone and Broadband did without a hitch. However, all I got on BT Vision was Error C03. I phoned the helpdesk, and after much kerfuffle was told that my Broadband account was still 'open', but it would be closed at midnight whereupon BT Vision would work.Guess what? It didn't happen. So I phoned again this afternoon and was told at first that I didn't have a BT Vision account. When I pointed out that I https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Vision-box/BT-Vision-Error-C03/td-p/40156 had the account confirmation letter in front of me, and that the magic black box had been delivered along with the hub, the guy went away to investigate, and told me then that my account, which should have closed automatically was still open, that it would have to be closed manually, and that this would take 24 to 48 hours! He then advised me to keep rebooting for the next few days, and if nothing happened, phone again. This is obviously appalling service. I'm not technically minded, but I fail to see how closing an account can take so long, unless, of course, they are giving it low priority because they don't care.I'm just debating with myself about how long to give them before the account is closed, by mepermanently, and then I'll see what Sky or Virgin can offer. (I just got my box yesterday!) But - whilst I was on the bt vision phone with the technical guys today, one of them hung up on me, then came back apologetically and said 'sorry, but one of our product specialists just ran through the office shouting WHO IS GETTING C03 ERRORS?' Apparently its a major fault now - is anyone else suffering or had previous experience? The box doesnt function at all whilst this is ongoing. Its stuck on the hello screen and will not go any further.
