license has been granted" I am running Server 2012 R2 with XD 7.1. I am licensed for 380 users. This error shows even when I RDP into the server. The RDSH license server shows per User licenses are being checked out. GPO controls RDSH settings in the server and set the FQDN of the license server and per use. I ran Get-BrokerSite and it is showing: License edition as PLT (correct) LicenseModel as UserDevice LicensedSessionsActive as 68 (matches current sessions) RDSH is showing 60 licenses in use, but some users use different servers. To me that means they will only have one RDSH license used, but the sessions would be higher since they are using more than one. Any idea what is causing this error and is it something to worry about long term? 1316-346875-1792508 Back to top Peter Brown Citrix Employees #2 Peter Brown 22 posts Posted 07 July 2014 - 03:43 PM The 9026 event is caused when an admin connects to a XD server via ICA or RDP and is benign and can be ignored

Earlier today, I received notice that nobody could access the published applications (every other server was fine). The server has been humming along just fine since at least June 2012. I logged into the server over RDP and found the following error in a dialog box: XenApp cannot contact the license server Server1 I think that Server1 might have once been a Citrix license server, but that was a while ago. I saw that Server1 had the Citrix License services running, but the admin console showed no licenses. I checked the Citrix policies and found that a policy that lists Server2. Sure enough, Server2 had licenses (plenty available). I also checked the GPOs applied to the Citrix server and found the only license-related server was the RDS licensing server (Server3). The only event log entry I found was in the System log: Event 9026: Error 0 received while obtaining a license for a Citrix XenApp client connection. A grace license has been granted.
