Lacerte 2015 Error Initializing Config
I started to proforma clients to 2012, a message popped up saying lacerte error initializing config access violation Pennsylvania was not installed. I clicked on install from the web, and another message popped up saying I was in Lacerte and needed to close before the intstall could continue. I then noticed that the proforma was running in the background so I let it run. The program froze after it had proforma'd the individual clients (no corps, partnerships, etc). I had to force close the program. The web installl ran afterwards installing PA. Now, when I try to open Lacerte 2011, I receive the following error. Error initializing config. Access violation at address 00819B96 in the module 'w11tax.exe'. Read of address 00000000 This is a network installation from SBS 2003 to Win 7 Pro machines. All the desktops can no longer access 2011. Comment Asked by VMACPA Lacerte 2011 Options Edit Ask for details Archive hide info × Close Why do you want to report this? This is caused by a corrupted file in our network installation. To correct it... 1. Navigate to \\(network drive)\lacerte\11tax\option11 2. Rename the following files: Proflog.P1 to Proflog.P1OLD PROFXO.P1 to PROFXO.P1OLD 3. Restart Lacerte from the desktop. Lacerte will recreate the files. This fixed our problem network wide. Here are five guidelines: Keep it conversational. When answering questions, write like you speak. Imagine you're explaining something to a trusted friend, using simple, everyday language. Avoid jargon and technical terms when possible. When no other word will do, explain technical terms in plain English. Be clear and state the answer right up front. Stephen Jasionowski Mar 9, 2016 6:57 AM (in response to Gowthamraj R) To learn about access violation messages in greater detail please view the following presentation at the link below:Configuring and Troubleshooting your NPrinting ImplementationAlso check below as well:The error Access Violation can occur if there is a permissions problem or in some cases, a simple reboot of the server will resolve the issue. This error could indicate that:1. The server where the QVW's are stored needs to be rebooted2. The QVW is protected by section access. If yes, please use section access credentials in the NPrinting source connection when section access is contained in the QVW.Please, have a look at this article:https://community.qlik.com/docs/DOC-135533. The path to the QVP connection is invalid. Open the QVW using the NPrinting service account to test this. If the QVW cannot be opened, then there is a permissions problem with the NPrinting Server service accountSee Troubleshooting the NPrinting server service and service accounthttps://community.qlik.com/docs/DOC-84474. The QlikView document you are connecting to is showing a message or cannot be opened because of a license issue. You can check this connecting to the QlikView document as the NPrinting user following this process:i. Open the QlikView installation folder (normally it is C:\Program Files\QlikView)ii. Click on Shift and right click on the Qv.exe fileii
