Solved Drives not mapping using Group policy preferences Posted on 2010-04-14 Active Directory Windows Server 2008 Windows XP 1 Verified Solution 9 Comments 5,476 Views Last Modified: 2012-05-09 I am trying to get a shared drive mapped for everyone in the domain using Group policy preferences. group policy I am moving away from using a logon script to accomplish this. The client computers are XP SP3 with the CSE updates installed, and the domain controller is server 2008. I can get the drive to map for my user account but not for anyone else. I am a domain admin. The shared drive is a users drive where each user has a personal folder underneath the share. The permissions for the shared drive allow full control group policy drive for share permissions and domain users have read, traverse, and list folder level permissions. Each folder under the share has individual rights for each user that allows them access. The policy action is set to replace, the drive letter is set to Use: U, and Hide/Show is set to show this drive. What am I missing that would cause this not to map for everyone else? 0 Question by:knada242 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 1 Best Solution byknada242 I found the issue. A previous admin had been working on a few projects before leaving the company. One of these projects involved setting a users home path in their domain profile.
