not remove computer policy settings for 'Another Policy {50ddf383-9dfb-43a6-a152-a2f5e36c7496}' because it failed with error code '0x8007000d The data is invalid.' See trace https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/979731 file for more details.Resolution:Log on to the machineOpen Windows ExplorerNavigate to %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Group Policy\HistoryDelete all subdirectoriesOpen a command promptIn the command prompt, enter gpupdateVerify that subdirectories appear under %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Group Policy\HistoryNote: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Group Policy\History contains a copy of the preferences contained in GPOs. If the copy http://tools4pros.blogspot.com/2009/05/group-policy-error-0x8007000d-data-is.html process failed somehow, an invalid XML file may be left in one of the subdirectories, thus creating the 0x8007000d Error. By following the mechanism described above, a clean copy of the GPOs is created and the GPO is working again. I can't import settings from a GPO backup to a GPO. When it starts importing, an error is shown "Data is invalid" and the following is logged: [1978.438] 5/26/2016 12:05:40:683 [WARNING] CGPM::GetDomain : Input/output parameters are invalid I can import from the same backup if extension could not I use the GMPC in 2008 R2 or 2012 "R1", but no with any of the 2012 R2 servers I have. Any clue? I've been searching in Google, changing DNS servers, etc. but no way. Thanks in advance! 0 Question by:Oder70 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google Best Solution byOder70 Dear colleagues, Finally solved that by removing and reinstalling the "Group Policy Management" feature using Server Manager. Are you really take a blank GP and importing the settings are trying to go a true restore? Have you tried doing it from powershell? 0 Message Author Comment by:Oder702016-05-29 I am importing settings to a blank GPO (not restoring a backup) From PowerShell (using Import-GPO) it works, but I need it to work from the GUI.
