It is usually meant to identify a system by name or designation within a server rack, instead of the model of server (default) ... picture having 20 2950 servers in dell poweredge 2950 a rack and needing to find the print server for domain2 ... setting the string to D2Print (or similar) would make it a lot simpler to find the right machine than if all 20 had PowerEdge 2950 scrolling acrossed it. Русский Svenska Türkçe Het ESM-logboek wissen op een Dell PowerEdge server In het logboek van Embedded System Management (ESM) (ook het Logboek voor systeemgebeurtenissen (SEL) of hardwarelogboek genoemd) worden mogelijke problemen met Dell PowerEdge servers gerapporteerd. Soms zal het foutbericht verdwijnen wanneer u de server uitschakelt en de stekker uit het stopcontact haalt. Wacht ongeveer 10 seconden, steek de stekker weer in het stopcontact en start de server opnieuw op. In andere gevallen moet u het ESM-logboek wissen om het foutbericht te verwijderen. Met de foutcode SEL FULL wordt bijvoorbeeld aangegeven dat u het ESM-logboek moet wissen. (De gebeurtenisgeschiedenis van de server gaat dan verloren.) Er zijn verschillende manieren om het ESM-logboek te wissen. Het ESM-logboek wissen met DSET Download en open het hulpprogramma DSET.
