Posted by sdcarroll on 11 Oct 2005 5:40 The first error message means that there's no A/C on Power Supply #2. The second message means that your power is no longer redundent - e.g., if you someone kicks the cable http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/servers/f/1466/t/17500444 out of PS1, the server will shutdown. Plug in a power cable to PS2 and both error messages should go away. If there are already two power cables plugged in, Power Supply #2 is faulty - you'll need to start troubleshooting. In the box of stuff that comes with a new server, there is usually a package (white envelope) that has three CD's. One of them is titled "Product Documentation." All of the documentation for your PE2800 is in there. If you don't have the CD, you can download the ISO image from Dell here. This forums page doesn't seem to appreciate the use of "table" HTML tags - the whole list is available on my homepage. --- SDCarroll Like 0 Reply You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. Posted by wishbone9000 on 25 Oct 2005 15:06 Thank you for your help. The UPS was indeed not connected properly. The power cable from the UPS to the back of the server was loose. Appaerently the server was phsycally moved before I gained access to it and no one bothered to check that all of the cables were plugged in properly. So I plugged it in and all is well again. Thanks again.
