Verified Answer Posted by DELL-Geoff P on 17 May 2013 8:45 Verified Answer Verified by aungkhk First, power down the server, pull the power cord and hold the power button in to clear the power off the board. Wait about 30 seconds, then put the power back on and power up. If the error doesn't clear, the motherboard will need to be replaced. The error refers to the 3.3v regulator on the board and not in the power supply. Does anyone know what is going on with this? Is it a fan or another problem? Any help would be appreciated! 0 Question by:hodgem Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 5 Best Solution byMetaltree Well from the sound of it, looks like you need a new fan. I would call dell support assuming you're under warranty, and they will either ship you a new fan or send a tech out to fix it. You can open up the case, swap fan 4 with another fan. Fan 4 is the one on top of the memory/processor shroud. If you swap it with fan 1, and the error then begins to show for fan 1, then the fan itself needs to be replaced. 0 Message Expert Comment by:ppuleo2013-01-25 I'm getting that error on all of the fans, in fact I get the E1911 code which means it can't display all of the error codes. It scrolls through fans 1-3 then the E1911. The fans are all running quietly, there is no overheating going on, I can't believe they would all go bad at once. 0 LVL 32 Overall: Level 32 Server Hardware 25 Hardware 9 Message Active today Expert Comment by:PowerEdgeTech2013-01-25 The fans would not all go bad at once. If they all stop working at once, it is your motherboard. If they are all showing bad on
