2013 by Joe Waldin I have a Windows 2008 R2 server that is a dedicated host for my VM's. I 1912 system event log full review and clear test a lot of applications, experiment with SharePoint farms, and occasionally blow things i1912 sel full poweredge t300 up. This activity generates a boat load of errors which get written to the event logs. One day how to clear system event log dell poweredge 2950 the LED display on my Dell PowerEdge T300 started showing a "I1912 SEL FULL" error. SEL is short for "System Event Logs". Well that must mean that my logs bmc menu dell 2950 are full and I need to do some maintenance. That's an easy fix, open Server Manager > Diagnostics > Event Viewer and then open each log and select "Clear Log" from the Actions Panel. Yikes… There seemed to be a zillion logs and I became instantly annoyed with this process. Hmmmm… Maybe there is a PowerShell command that can help automate

Solved PowerEdge 2900 - SEL FULL Error Posted on 2014-06-11 Server Hardware Server Software 2 Verified Solutions 21 Comments 4,370 Views Last Modified: http://jpwaldin.com/blog/?p=99 2014-06-27 This relates to the following question: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Hardware/Servers/Q_27344809.html I have several of these servers but right now I have one that's blinking orange with this error. I had another one with this error a few weeks ago and I was able to clear quickly using OpenManage (there was an option under Logs called "Hardware" and all I had to do was clear there). However, there https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28453545/PowerEdge-2900-SEL-FULL-Error.html is no "Hardware" option on this server for some reason. I even downloaded the latest OMSA tool and still no show. So, I downloaded DSET next thinking that would do it (there's a "Clear ESM logs" option in this package). However, after installation, I get the following error. Google returns no results for this error. Any ideas? 0 Question by:street9009 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 32 Active today Best Solution byPowerEdgeTech Well, there's nothing "standard" about that message - that is a message in and of itself, indicating the log has reached its maximum size, usually because other errors have previously filled it up. Two dell poweredge restarts still have not cleared the error.
