Dvd Studio Pro Supported Disc Not Available
I always used iMovie, well I am sick of using iMovie, I want to build nicer menus. So I have everything set right in Compressor, m2v and ac3, I import into DVDSP, everything links up right (or appears too) my menu buttons are set correctly (or appears to be) I run simulator everything plays like it should, I format, then burn, everything goes thru with no error messages. I put the DVD in my DVD player, and it says unknown disc? What am I doing wrong? any suggestions. I am in the process of filming weddings on the side, so I most definitely need to get this figured out!!! So any help would be much appreciated. Thanks alot... 2.5GHz 15" MacBook Pro 4GB 200HD, Mac OS X (10.5.6), 24" iMac, 3.06 Mac Pro, FCS2, Logic Studio, Shake and other things... Try the following trouble shooting steps: Open your DVD SP project and click on the Simulate button (centre of top Icon bar) to see if there is a basic problem with your DVD. If the Simulate works properly click on the Build http://www.calgaryfcpug.com/dvd-studio-pro-and-idvd/22837-dvd-won-t-play-after-creating-in-dvd-studio-pro.html button and create a Video_TS file on your hard drive. Once it is complete try opening the Video_TS file with the application DVD Player by choosing from the menu bar File > Open DVD Media and selecting the Video_TS file you created. If DVD Player can play your Video_TS file, what kind of DVD media are you using? Let us know what you find. Duane E. Martin Earth to Sky Pictures Inc. It seems it may be an issue with the menu. I want the menu to be the first play. When I do this though nothing will play and the error occurs. Just out of curiosity, I set a video to first play and the video played but wouldn't go on to the menu (even though that was set as the target after play). Could it possibly be an issue because I am using a template? The template has been altered quite a bit which may be causing the error. Any thoughts about this conclusion?? My next step is to build

Disk burn speeds have increased year on year leaving older players behind, so dvd studio if you burned at max the disk might play on your computer but not play in an older domestic player. Try setting your burn speed manually to something like X4. WiseGuyProductions.ca Reply Quote Re: DVD Studio Pro 4 - Bad Disk (October 24, 2014 02:36AM) XGTV Ahh. There's your problem. HD-DVD is a defunct format, it lost out to Sony's Blu-Ray format and nothing will play it. You will have to make a standard SD DVD unless you are equipped to make Blu-Ray disks. :o( Reply Quote Re: DVD Studio Pro 4 - Bad Disk (October 24, 2014 02:06AM) Wise Guy Productions so how do we tell DVD Studio Pro to make an SD Disk?
