It runs through the rendering fine, then when it is ready to burn it shuts down and says the video bit rate to high. So I went to the manual and the manual suggested changing the codec to Apple Pro 422, something like that. I did and am now still getting the same error. This has never happened before and I've been using FCP for 6 years. Anybody know what to do or has had a similar problem? I Mac, Mac OS X (10.4.11), none Posted on Aug 26, 2010 8:41 AM I have this question too Close Q: Stumped - Video Bit Rate too High Error All replies Helpful answers by Hal MacLean, Hal MacLean Aug 26, 2010 10:12 AM in response to mvp productions Level 6 (14,790 points) Aug 26, 2010 10:12 AM in response to mvp productions This can be caused be several things, and we need a little more info to sort it out, but as a start:export from FCP through to Compressor and create MPEG2 files and AC3 audio. keep the bitrate of the video no higher than 7.4Mbpskeep the audio bitrate at 192kbps for stereo filesThe error you're getting is not necessarily reporting only the video element, but includes the audio too. Often, using AIFF files (or PCM, WAV etc) raises it too high and you get the error. Use AC3.ProRes files are OK from FCP, but you simply must go to encode them first. DO NOT rely on DVDSPs encoding engine if you want a good job done.Check your preferences in DVDSP - you need to have everything encoded on your disc, and creating menus and adding other graphics means DVDSP has to encode these for you (which is why there is an encoder in there). If the rate peaks even 1 moment over the max (9.8Mbps for video) then you'll get the error. Set your DVDSP encoding settings around 3.5 - 7.4Mbps.Try again! I am having the same problem. I have set the bit rate to 3 and 6, and "still bit rate too high". I successfully burned this video to DVD with Toast, no problem. Seems the problem is my new 27" iMac , Snow Leopard 10.6, and DCVD Studio Pro V 4.2.2 Any additional ideas? I am stumped. For this project, Toast wi

rgo Hi Ken I am building a Dance Recital video. Show one went smooth Show two has continued to crash http://www.kenstone.net/discussions/read.php?3,44486,44494 with the error message - "Video Bit Rate Too High" I don't think I've done anything different. In fact, building these DVDs like this have been simple and smooth until now. 1. https://www.videomaker.com/article/c5/11156-apple-dvd-studio-pro-3-review Changed the Bit Rate in the DVDSP4 twice, no 3 times, same ERROR 2. Changed the Bit Rate in Compressor 4 a couple of times...same error message. 3. Don't know if this dvd studio error begins inside of FCP X, but why would this be so, when SHOW 1 went smooth....same gear...same same. Any ideas out there ? I am out of it. I tried 2 different DVDSP templates, same error message. Thanks Ken Dick Osso Reply Quote Re: DVDSP Error Message - "Video Bit Rate Too High" Out of Ideas (July 08, 2014 03:04AM) rgo Hi Ken dvd studio pro It was the AUDIO. Strange, as the other DVDs all did the same thing and never failed, yet this one did. By changing the AIFF audio to AAC audio, it worked. Dick Osso Reply Quote Re: DVDSP Error Message - "Video Bit Rate Too High" Out of Ideas (July 08, 2014 04:55AM) Ken Stone Admin Hi Dick, That will do it every time. --ken Reply Quote Re: DVDSP Error Message - "Video Bit Rate Too High" Out of Ideas (July 08, 2014 09:57AM) ronny courtens We have solved this by e-mail, so let me explain WHY the error message appeared. AIFF is a VBR audio codec and some AIFF files can produce maximum Bit Rate peaks that are way beyond the highest Bit Rate that is accepted by the DVD specification (which is 20 years old BTW). When you import such an audio file in a DVDSP project DVDSP will refuse to build the project and it will produce this "Video Bit Rate Too High" message that actually does not mean anything. The solution is to convert the problematic AIFF file (or any external AIFF audio files for that matter) t
February 2005 Apple DVD Studio Pro 3 Review Apple DVD Studio Pro 3 $499 Apple, Inc. One Infinite Loop Cupertino, CA 95014 (800) MY-APPLE www.apple.com In the Apple world, DVD Studio Pro has long been known for its comprehensive and well-designed approach to DVD authoring. The latest version, DVD Studio Pro 3, adds an enhanced set of tools for menu transitions, a greatly enhanced GUI and DTS 5.1 encoding support, all with the same sleek look and brilliant Apple styling that fans of past DVD Studio Pro have come to appreciate. Though we did find a few things to gripe about in the software--not the least of which was the fact that the simulator did not show productions exactly as they will appear on the final DVD--overall DVD Studio Pro 3 performed admirably--beautifully, even. To test DVD Studio Pro 3, we loaded the software onto a 733MHz Power Mac G4 with 512MB RAM, OS X, a 60GB hard drive and a DVD+/- RW drive. Apple Attitude Apple has definitely come into a Zen state with interface design. The initial look of DVD Studio Pro 3 is similar to Apple's other lines of professional and consumer based video solutions. New to this version's UI is the "flowchart" styling of the Graphical view. DVD authors love this view because with a quick glance, they can see what the final user experience is going to be. DVD Studio Pro 3 also comes with two essential external packages that round out the software's function nicely: Compressor (a truly professional compression tool with a wide range of options), and A-Pack (a tool for mixing audio into any configuration desired -- including Dolby Digital and, now, DTS 5.1 surround). In version 3, Apple has also implemented a system for creating instead of in a separate window. This is a great workflow feature that other DVD authoring software packages we've seen have attempted to incorporate, but we've never seen it done as successfully as DVD Studio Pro 3 has. Now, all you hardcore pros out th
