I feel like I've read every forum, watched every video and no solutions are availing themselves. I've authored a DL disk in DVDSP. It has 2 video layers that share the same audio track. Each video layer is approx 100 minutes. I've exported both video files from FCP, multiple times to make sure the GOP structure matches. Other items on the disk are simple a small slideshow, and some simple menus. I've been able to successfully follow instruction to set my own breakpoints and have been able to build and format the production to hard drive. But when I try to burn it using Toast to disk it fails and says: MEDIUM ERROR Sense Code = 0x73, 0x03 When I try to build it in DVDSP I get: Unknown device error (0x09, 0x01) - to which it was suggest that I try different media, I have... same problem exists. It has been suggested that maybe my burner is dead - yet I can still burn DVD-5 just fine. Any advice you can give would be key. This isn't the first time I've built a DL DVD in this program, but it's the first time I've ever had these issues. Much appreciated... Computer specs: MacBook Pro 2.3Ghz Intel i7 8GB DDR3 ram Exported from FCP 7 DVDSP 4.2.2 Files are all housed on a Thunderbolt external drive. Thanks Cory Cory Reeder Renai

Why does the last 10% of a project take 90% of the time...I'm trying to finalize a DVD and am having a problem with the break point being stuck. No matter what I do, I can't change it. The track which the break point is set to is not used (except for the stuck break point) and cannot be deleted. A little background...I'm using DVDSP 4.2.1 on a G5 1.8DP. The DVD is an interactive training video with 37 tracks (30 have a quiz at the end), 146 menus (mostly quiz questions), 126 scripts, and two languages (menus and audio tracks). Each track has a dozen or so chapter markers. The entire DVD https://forums.creativeplanetnetwork.com/forum/final-cut-studio/dvd-studio-pro/81703-dl-disk-burn-in-dvdsp-just-not-happening-after-trying-it-all is run through scripts with no direct links (menu button -> track). I have checked every connection and every script and none are associated with the rouge track.Early on I made a test DVD and had selected the 10th track as a break point. That was when there were less than 20 tracks. That DVD, if I can find it, appeared to work correctly. I continued to completion only to find that I could not change the break point. I'm reasonably sure the cause for the DVDs not https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2125080?tstart=0 to run on any player is that the break point is too early and is putting more data on the second layer, which is not correct as far as I have found. There should be more on the first layer (0) than the second (1).Now, I have moved the rouge track into the last VTS, which appears to have no effect on anything. I would think it would cause something to fail when Formatting the disc. There is no error in DVDSP, but the resulting DVD (using 3 brands of DVD+R DL and 3 different burners - I'm working on a 4th...)One other odd thing. When I attempt to set any chapter marker to a break point on a track, it never has a black dot (as described in the manual). The setting in the inspector never sticks.I really don't want to reconstruct this project. I have tried to remove the rouge track from one of the files inside the project, the same place the word "auto' (for automatic), but it made the DVDSP file corrupt.I have tried to set the DVDSP to SL and burn the Video_TS using Toast without good results.I'm up for any suggestions. Thanks!Jim MBP 17, Mini 1.66, G4 1.42x2, G5 1.8x2..., Mac OS X (10.5), FCS 2, FCP 6.0.1, DVDSP 4.2.1 Posted on Aug 23, 2009 1:46 PM I have this question too Close Q: Breakpoint Stuck and can't delete track. 2014 11:24AM) Cory Hi, I've been trying to trouble shoot this issue for 2 days now. I feel like http://www.kenstone.net/discussions/read.php?3,43817,43817 I've read every forum, watched every video and no solutions are availing themselves. Production was edited in FCP7 I've authored a DL disk in DVDSP. It has 2 video layers that share https://www.macprovideo.com/forum/video/dvd-studio-pro/23679 the same audio track. (I've done this before and there wasn't an issue - one video layer is a multi-cam edit, the other layer is a static wide) Each video layer is dvd studio approx 100 minutes. I've exported both video files from FCP, multiple times to make sure the GOP structure matches. Other items on the disk are simple a small slideshow, and some simple menus. (take up little space) I've been able to successfully follow instruction to set my own breakpoints and have been able to build and format the production to hard drive. But when I dvd studio pro try to burn the .img file using Toast to disk it fails and says: MEDIUM ERROR Sense Code = 0x73, 0x03 When I try to build it in DVDSP I get: Unknown device error (0x09, 0x01) - to which it was suggested that I try different media, I have... same problem exists. It has been suggested that maybe my burner is dead - yet I can still burn DVD-5 just fine. Though DVD-9 can hold up to 8.5gb, my assets total only 7.5 leaving plenty of room to build. Any advice you can give would be key. This isn't the first time I've built a DL DVD in this program, but it's the first time I've ever had these issues. Much appreciated...
