Had a user trying to archive by clicking on the "Archive Now" option and instead of successfully completing it would throw the little pop up box titled "Archive" that says Document has been deleted. By the time I saw this, there were a number of things done, views rebuilt (Control-Shift-F9), cache cleared, even deleted the archive profile, all the basic trouble shooting. The view issue seemed like a no brainer because I've seen the same basic error when people archive selected, but rebuilding all the views didn't help. Turns out it was related to the Soft Deletions field. The $Softdeletes - simple fix was to open the DB, toggle off soft deletes and then toggle it back on. The only risk is losing your trash (well, it's not a risk, you LOSE your trash, but since you trashed the stuff, one would expect you didn't want it anyway....) After clearing that out the archive worked fine. The problem existed on 8.5.1 and was still there after we updated the client to 8.5.3.
