Notes Error Remote Pathname Must Be Relative
Running Compact -a compact; -a; Remote path must be relative to data directory; remote; path; relative; data; directory Technote (troubleshooting) Problem You have deployed server-based archiving through a policy. When Compact -a runs against user's mail files to archive documents and then compact the database, the following error appears on the server console: "Remote path must be relative to data directory" The documents that meet the archive criteria are written to the archive database, however they are not removed from the user's mail file. Resolving the problem In this case, when the policy was deployed, the server-based archive criteria settings were pushed down; however, the user's existing client-based archive settings were also modified to reflect the following: "These archive criteria settings copy all documents not modified after X days to your archive on c:\lotus\notes\data\archive\a_username.nsf on
while replicating "Remote pathnames must be relative to the Data Directory"; dbdirman; dbdirman.nsf; replication; client Technote (troubleshooting) Problem The https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21170775 problem here lies on the Domino server with "dbdirman.nsf" database that stores the database cache and is not updated properly with the Directory path of the mailfile. Resolving the http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21450603 problem To resolve this problem, shut down the Domino server and remove the "dbdirman.nsf" from the Data directory and restart the server. This will recreate the database and the replication would not show any error messages.
