When I serarch the Names.nsf I only get one name and that is the name of the person Im trying to change. That I do is to use Domino https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/23884454/One-of-the-names-to-be-added-to-the-directory-already-exists-in-a-different-entry-in-the-directory.html Administrator and selecting the user then Rename - Change Common Name. After the change I run AdminP and gets the error message above. What Im I doing wrong? 0 Question by:fjebja Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 63 Best Solution bySysExpert Do you have more than one server ? Is you names.nsf full text indexed ? rebuild the index, and also do a fixup / compact when you can. I hope this helps ! 0 LVL 1 Overall: Level 1 Message Author Comment by:fjebja2008-11-18 Thank you, sorry for late reply. We have only one server, but there is a European address book that was causing the name change problem. The log "told" me that. I do not have access to make the change on the European address book, so I have to contact them for the change. 0 LVL 1 Overall:
Notes: Resolving "File Already Exists" issues Published 16/05/2008 By Aleksander Nordgarden-Rødner https://www.razumny.no/2008/05/lotus-notes-resolving-file-already-exists-issues/ Working in a Lotus Notes environment, I have seen quite a few of the issues concerned with Lotus Notes. Running Lotus Notes with the data-folder located on a network share, combined with sync of Offline folders has a nasty tendency of creating notes error corrupt files. A typical error is "File Already Exists". Experience has pretty reliably show this to be a problem related to the bookmark.nsf-file. The Solution Lotus Notes has *.nsf files, database files, and *.ntf files, database template files. Knowing this, the notes error entry solution to this problem is as follows: Find the Lotus Notes data folder (Typically located at C:\Program Files\Lotus\Notes\Data) Locate the bookmark.nsf file Rename the file to bookmarks.nsf_old or something like that Restart Lotus Notes Lotus Notes will then recreate the bookmarks.nsf file using bookmarks.ntf Related Categories:Lotus Notes Tags:Corrupt bookmarks.nsfFile Already ExistsOffline Folders Previous Post Internet Explorer and me (Or: Why I choose) Next Post Problems accessing local drives in Citrix 3 Comments radzimir Thank You, it works!!!
