General Error Final Cut Pro 7 Out Of Memory
the project a box came up saying that 'firefighting.avi' needs to be changed, use the media manager' or something like that....and then the 'general error 41' came up This particular clip I recently got from aFootage Firm DVD, a free disc with some useful clips. I liked one of the clips so I brought it into the project and actually slo-moed a couple of seconds of it. That just may have been the culprit. This project has many Motion files, mostly simple text, but one I did some heavy effects with a video clip.....and as a matter of fact, now that I think of it.. I made a DVD of the timeline for client approval....and that particular Motion file was missing media, (checker board pattern) which I noticed as I viewed the DVD. Should I delete the Motion files too? Those I can recreate easyily enough. I read the article on your site by Scott Barbour.....my media is all on a separate drive, so I've tried to open the project without the media.... I deleted the render files and deleted

I then transferred all my video files onto a portable hard-drive and then onto another mac, to continue working on it in FCP 5.For some reason I keep getting the above error message and cannot access the project at all. Help!! :( Arnoldrob replied… Likes # 0 Posted 10 Jun 09 bowiegirl,I captured some clips 1080p25 using Apple Inter Codec from my Canon HV30 into FCE HD Ver 3, made a short sequence and saved the file and it opened ok in FCP ver 5.1.4. I needed to reset the scratch disk to the folder where the files were but it the loaded OK. You have to be careful to make all your settings the same as as used in FCE One of the problems with FCP is that it does’nt bring all the files attributes in when you open a file it tends to stay with the last used program especially with regard to scratch disks. Were you using Apple Intermediate codec, my version of FCE only has that setup for HD files. bowiegirl replied… Likes # 0 Pos
