Everything seems to have installed ok, but when I try to run the https://macosx.com/threads/final-cut-pro-asks-for-agp-card-on-startup.265936/ program it comes up with an error message "Hardware not found: AGP graphics card". I find this perplexing since the same Final Cut Pro ran just fine on my G4 500Mhz tower. I think my iMac G5 has an ATI Radeon X600 Pro card. Any ideas as to why it is looking for the "AGP card" or why it won't work without it? Is there any easy way to fix this? Is there some configuration in hardware or FCPro that I can adjust? Thanks #1 zeddeh, Jan 5, 2006 ElDiabloConCaca uix_expand uix_collapse U.S.D.A. You can manually get around this by editing the Info.plist file inside of the Final Cut Express application and editing out the key/pair for the AGP card. There were instructions on how to do this on the internet not too long ago... I can't find them now, but will keep looking, and in the meantime, perhaps some kind soul will chime in with instructions on how to do it. #2 ElDiabloConCaca, Jan 5, 2006 karavite uix_expand uix_collapse Registered Joined: Mar 27,

Now I need to get an AGP Graphics card for Final Cut Express to use in my iMac G5. I'd appreciate any suggestions as to type of AGP Graphics card I should get and where you recommend I buy it from. I live in Los Angeles. Thank you! What kind of iMac/Graphics card do you think you currently have? If you're trying to install FCP 4.x on one of the new PCIe iMacs, just search the posts. After I installed FCE I got a message saying that I have missing hardware/software. I checked System Profiler and it said there that I have an ATI Radeon X600 XT installed. So, I did a restart of the G5, ran Disk Utility and checked again. Same message: Configuration Error: This software requires certain software or hardware which is missing - AGP graphics card. Anyway, I re-installed FCE and restarted and I'm still getting the same message. Bad Mac? Bad User? I don't know! I'm just trying to use FCE. Thanks! This is specifically for PCIe iMacs and G5s. If you have an older version of FCE there is a hack to change the graphics card requirement http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/feedback/final_cut_pro_on_old_macs.htmlAll the best, Tom Author: "Final Cut Pro 5 Editing Essentials" and "Final Cut Express 2 Editing Workshop" Class on Demand "Complete T
