However, after copying the project within Final Cut Pro into another project it worked fine. It turned it was caused by the latest Sony XAVC/XDCAM plugin (PDZK-LT2). Once I removed the following folder all the share functions where working again: Library > Application Support > ProApps > MIO > RADPlugins > XDCAMFormat.RADPlugI've read more treads about this problem where the solution was to remove a conflicting plugin (not only the Sony plugin).Hope this helps. Pro X << PREVIOUS • VIEW ALL • PRINT • NEXT >> • FCP X - Can't export my edit - Quicktime error -50 by Boris Jansch on Nov 30, 2011 at 7:55:40 pm This is another first for me. I've edited a 1 minute commercial, which is a mixture of unconverted Canon 5D and Sony F3 footage but I am unable to export my completed edit. If I go to export media or export using one of my custom settings it brings up the export bar and when it's about 90% done it brings up the error message, 'Quicktime error -50'. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5076224?tstart=0 I don't have any problems exporting any other of my projects on the same drive so I suspect it's a corrupt media issue or perhaps an F3 issue but it plays perfectly in FCP X. I tried trashing prefs. Many thanks, Boris J.Return to posts indexReport Post •Re: FCP X - Can't export my edit - Quicktime error -50by Aaron Rock on Nov 30, 2011 at 9:33:34 pmCheck for corrupted https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/344/6046 media around 90% of the way through your cut. Generally this error relates to media QT is not dealing with correctly. I find FCPX to be strange with media playback, it may deal with the footage fine inside the program, but outputting it runs into an error. Try exporting the last half in 10 second segments, this should at least narrow down wherein the problem lies.Return to posts indexReport Post•Re: FCP X - Can't export my edit - Quicktime error -50by Jeremy Garchow on Dec 1, 2011 at 12:11:55 amI would delete the render files using the File menu.Return to posts indexReport Post•Re: FCP X - Can't export my edit - Quicktime error -50by James Ewart on Sep 9, 2014 at 5:19:46 pmNice that seems to work!!Return to posts indexReport Post•Re: FCP X - Can't export my edit - Quicktime error -50by John Brown on Feb 1, 2012 at 9:25:43 pmHi all, For what it's worth I thought I'd share.. Checked media (I'd rendered using the same source files for a different version of the output but did this anyway) - all OK 2. Removed audio trac

Check that the codec used by the file is final cut recommended for use in your editing application. Suggested Actions * If your sequence codec is set to a long-GOP codec such as HDV, H.264, XDCAM, AVCHD or MPEG-2, set your sequence codec to ProRes. * For best results, convert all long-GOP media to ProRes. * Make sure all images are RGB, not CMYK. * Ensure all images are less than 4000 pixels in width and height. * Use Corrupt Clip Finder to locate the corrupt clip. * After the corrupt file is located, use final cut pro QT Repair or Media Salvage to fix it. * Make sure your files do not have Digital Rights Management (DRM) that prevent them being played outside of their intended application. Some files purchased from the iTunes Store will have DRM. * Make sure you are using AIFF or WAV audio files. DRM audio or CMYK stills are the most common causes for corrupt files in any NLE. FCPX does not really need H.264 to be optimized to ProRes, it handles native H.264 very well if your system is fast enough. Same applies to audio: AIFF and WAV are indeed the best formats to work with, but contrary to legacy FCP FCPX handles other audio files extremely well, without any hiccups. How can I solve this? I need to use 120 FPS clips for slowmotion on the GoPro but then the Canon 600D doesn't shoot at 120FPS so I need to use 25 FPS. I have no problem compressing videos with clips only from the Canon 600D. Thank you The administrator has disabled public write access. Does this work? This error message often indicates corrupt or wrongly connected render files. If you cannot share as a Master File you might delete your Project and Event render files and try exporting again. This won't aff
