Now I need https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/8/1192991 to get an AGP Graphics card for Final Cut Express to use in my iMac G5. I'd http://openfito.ru/libraries/torrent/3578207/Final_Cut_Pro_HD_4.5 appreciate any suggestions as to type of AGP Graphics card I should get and where you recommend I buy it from. I live in Los Angeles. Thank you! What kind of iMac/Graphics card do final cut you think you currently have? If you're trying to install FCP 4.x on one of the new PCIe iMacs, just search the posts. After I installed FCE I got a message saying that I have missing hardware/software. I checked System Profiler and it said there that I have an ATI Radeon X600 XT final cut express installed. So, I did a restart of the G5, ran Disk Utility and checked again. Same message: Configuration Error: This software requires certain software or hardware which is missing - AGP graphics card. Anyway, I re-installed FCE and restarted and I'm still getting the same message. Bad Mac? Bad User? I don't know! I'm just trying to use FCE. Thanks! This is specifically for PCIe iMacs and G5s. If you have an older version of FCE there is a hack to change the graphics card requirement http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/feedback/final_cut_pro_on_old_macs.htmlAll the best, Tom Author: "Final Cut Pro 5 Editing Essentials" and "Final Cut Express 2 Editing Workshop" Class on Demand "Complete Training for FCP5" DVD Return to posts indexReport Post•Re: Recommended AGP Graphics card for Final Cut Express on my iMac G5by karlseidel on Jan 15, 2006 at 6:49:09 pmThank you Tom! I downloaded the latest update but it's incompatible with my PowerPC G5. I bought this iMac Xmas eve - so it's not the one with the new chip. I've been using iMovie successfully and I've also tested the graphics card by running Nanosaur - which is very graphics-intensive. I guess I'll have to call Melrose Mac (where I bought the machine) and see if they have any ideas. Thanks again! Karl Seidel Return to posts indexRe
