Just not like final cut pro 7 quits unexpectedly on startup is normally should If the program was working fine, and now isn't, or just isn't working the way it should, the first things to do are:1) Trash your FCP preferences. Download the Preference Manager from Digital Rebellion: http://www.digitalrebellion.com/pref_man.htm http://www.kenstone.net/fcphomepage/trashing_fcpprefs.html2) Open the Disk Utility and Repair Permissions.3) Shut down for 10 min. Go for a quick walk around the block and get SOME exercise today. Come back, turn on the computer and see how things are.4) (optional) Do the Hokey Pokey and turn your self about. Results may vary. If this is not the issue: Quit FCP X, then launch it again while holding both the ALT and the CMD keys down. This will reset your FCP X preferences. If this does not work: post back. - Ronny The administrator has disabled public write access. If so there must be something wrong with them and that's why you couldn't share in the first place. You can indeed try refreshing again but I don't think this will help very much. Can you convert the files to a decent format prior to importing? Or can you optimize the files once they are imported? - Ronny The administrator has disabled public write access. PM Simple Fix to ‘Final Cut Pro Quit Unexpectedly' (Version X 10.2.1) Final Cut Pro is one of the best preferred video editing software for Mac users. The animations, transitions and the plugins that are available for this software http://www.amfastech.com/2016/06/simple-fix-final-cut-pro-quit-unexpectedly.html helps us make professional videos with best of class effects. The solution that I https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/8/1180891 am sharing with you today is what I have faced recently on my new Mac running on OSX El Captain v10.11.5. I've tried many advanced tricks but a simple trick at last saved my day. So, I thought this simple trick could come to use for you and it is as shared below. Step 1: Close the running final final cut Cut Pro application and make sure it isn't running in the background. Step 2: Go to Finder > ~/Library/Application Support/ and find the com.apple.finalcutpro.plist and com.apple.finacut.plist folders and trash them. Step 3: Go to Finder > ~/Movies directory. You will find several folders in there. Go to each folder and remove the broken plugins if you found any. Step 4: Now uninstall the application by moving it to the trash Step 5: Reinstall it final cut pro again Step 6: Open the app now. If it still shows the same ‘Final Cut Pro Quit Unexpectedly' error, press and hold ALT+COMMAND keys while opening the application (Run Final Cut Pro from Applications folder this time instead of from launcher). Holding ALT+COMMAND while running the application will ask you to reset the preferences for Final Cut Pro X 10.2.1. Choose to Reset. Then your application runs without closing. That's it! • FCPX quitting by Anthony Winson on Jan 11, 2014 at 7:12:27 am Hi everyone I'm about ready to throw in towel and thought I'd try here for any advice. I updated to FCP10.1 in December and been editing my project fine. On Wednesday this week I was editing and completed the project, (a 70min film) and fcp quit unexpectedly. I managed to reopen the project and rendered it. Now I'm trying to export it and it just closes bringing up error (final cut pro quit unexpectedly). It's strange because I would of thought if the project was corrupt it wouldn't open at all but it does, I've trashed the rendered files thinking it was a bad render, I've rendered again without a problem but it does it same and just quits when I try to export. Any help would be very much appreciated. Are you using any third party plugins? You might need to do a clean install of Mavericks and FCPX. Some people have been having problems after updating. I haven't had any problems with 10.1 sofar. I mean, in 2012, I had a 60 min experimental on my timeline, we started editing on 10.0.3 with an old-ass Firewire 800 drive. Other than the hard drive acting up, all worked well. And since 10.1 I've been flying.
