The very first line in the box under the Scratch Disk tab will give you the path to your scratch disk. Navigate to that folder in Finder and click File > Get Info. You may have to click the little lock in the lower right hand corner to be able to change permissions. You will need an administrator password for that. If you need to, change all to 'Read & Write'. Then click on the little gear icon at the bottom of the pane and choose 'Apply to enclosed items...'. Try your render again. Go and repair your permissions and then empty out your render mgmt. Just cleaning your permissions will not do it you have to clean and clean again then you will be successful in rendering your project succefully.Step 1: Clean your permissionsSyep 2: Clean your Render Mgmt drive.If you don;t know how to clean permissions got help on your FCP tab and it will inform you how to appropirately clean it.Good Luck FCP peoplz ;
20, 2011 05:41AM) yetifan I'm running FCP 7.0.3 on a dual-core IMac. Very odd and frustrating problem. Almost final cut done with my project and now, suddenly, anytime I try to render anything I'm getting the ol' "File Error: Access Denied". I'm working on a sequence I duplicated and thought it might have something final cut error to do with that but when I try to make a change that requires rendering in the original sequence, the same problem and error message occur. I've tried rebooting to no avail. Any help appreciated! Happy Holidays and Thanks in Advance, Scott Reply Quote Re: Suddenly..."File Error: Access Denied" on all render attempts (December 20, 2011 06:06AM) yetifan Problem solved...someone suggested resetting the scratch disk.
