self contained quicktime mov file and before it even starts, it says "Error: Out of final cut pro not enough disk space Disk Space." I have almost a terabyte of free space with 8 GB's of RAM. I have googled and searched on creative cow for a solution and Ive seen that trashing your preferences is a good way to fix it. Can someone please tell me how to properly trash my preferences and renew them so I dont lose the ability to have preferences? Also.. everytime I try to fix the " Export: minimum allowable size" and change the amount.. it goes right back to the original number every time i reopen the window. All help is appreciated. I tried to use previous answers to fix this but i need specifics on how to trash and renew the preferences. Help? Submitted: 6 years ago. Category:Mac Share this conversation Expert: Ruben G. replied6 years ago. Hello there,The 'out of disk space message' you're getting is self explanatory...you're out of disk space in the drive you're trying to export your video to. If you've recently delete files to make room, make sure you also empty your trash bin as those files may sit in there taking up space even though you have deleted them. If you're going to be working with video files in the future, I would suggest getting an external hard drive to store your video files. Also, some export settings may increase the size of your file so make sure that you are calculating the space needed per the compression or format you're selecting. Here's a great online calculator to help you determine how much space you need: http://www.digitalrebellion.com/footage_calc.htm Ask Your Own Mac Question Customer: replied6 years ago.
