The very first line in the box under the Scratch Disk tab will give you the path to your scratch disk. Navigate to that folder in Finder and click File > Get Info. You may have to click the little lock in the lower right hand corner to be able to change permissions. You will need an administrator password for that. If you need to, change all to 'Read & Write'. Then click on the little gear icon at the bottom of the pane and choose 'Apply to enclosed items...'. Try your render again. Go and repair your permissions and then empty out your render mgmt. Just cleaning your permissions will not do it you have to clean and clean again then you will be successful in rendering your project succefully.Step 1: Clean your permissionsSyep 2: Clean your Render Mgmt drive. If you don;t know how to clean permissions got help on your FCP tab and it will inform you how to appropirately clean it.Good Luck FCP peoplz ;) Cynic replied… Likes # 0 Posted 05 Nov 07 Filmstress,Thanks for posting back with the solution. Worth doing on the system disk, though. Could try Disk Repair, and some Disk Warrior, on those externals. I'm leaning toward another reason, like what Loren suggested. Try exporting a tiny section of your timeline. If nothing will export it's probably a setting mismatch, if you can export a section but not the whole thing try and isolate the clip that's the problem by exporting in pieces. Of course its always a good idea to restart your computer and reconnect your drives.
