ThanksReturn to posts indexReport Post •Re: File I/O error when exporting to quick timeby Jerry Hofmann on Apr 15, 2011 at 4:42:48 pmTry deleting renders, then re render... might fix you right up. What was the codec used for the sequence and clip's properties? ProRes or? There's only about 150 flavors of HD out there... LOL.. might be a problem there too. I did another project http://video.stackexchange.com/questions/8605/final-cut-pro-7-file-error-unknown-file also 58 minutes to qt file and it went fine. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated Thanks David Reply Quote Re: File I/O error (October 26, 2012 06:15AM) final cut Ken Stone Admin Hi David, Check to be sure that you have enough open space on the drive that you are saving the QT to. Also, check your timeline. Any stills? FCP does not work properly with CYMK or grayscale images. Also be sure that no image is larger than 4,000 x 4,000 pixels. --ken Reply Quote Re: final cut pro File I/O error (October 26, 2012 06:20AM) cooldad414 Hi Ken Thanks for the reply. There is enough room on the drive saving to. No stills at all I spoke to the client and she told me she has had issues with some of the clips that were used before in the past so there must be some kind of glitch in a clip. Thanks again David Reply Quote Re: File I/O error (October 26, 2012 06:33AM) Ken Stone Admin Hi David, Digital Rebellion has a repair tool, it looks for corrupted clips. [www.digitalrebellion.com] You can write to them to find which 'tool' you would need. Digital Rebellion is a good company and has supported the FCP community for many years now. --ken Reply Quote Re: File I/O error (October 26, 2012 09:27AM) cooldad414 Hi Ken Thank you And as always a pleasure communicating with you David Newer Topic Older Topic Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum. Did you change the location of the jpg after you imported it into the sequence? If so, you may have to locate it again. share|improve this answer answered Aug 2 '13 at 7:15 Andrew Ng 23615 add a comment| up vote 1 down vote There are three reasons I can think of: The file is (as Andrew suggested) offline. The JPEG doesnt have a .jpeg extention (final cut has problems with files that are missing their extension) The JPEG resolution is too large. Try sizing the resolution down to under 2000x2000 share|improve this answer answered Nov 3 '13 at 23:01 OrangeBox 818513 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service.
